The Roble beech is a deciduous tree native to Chile and Argentina, deep in the Southern Hemisphere. It's pale, grey-brown trunk has a smooth texture initially, before developing grooves past 10 years old. At maturity, Nothofagus Obliqua can have a height ranging from 20 to 40 metres.
Prized by locals for its sturdy timber, which is used in both furniture-making and construction, the roble beech is often compared to an oak tree for its wood quality.
