K371: Styphnolobium japonica violaceae

This tree, which, as can be seen from it's creamy flowers, is a member of the Pea Family, is not actually from Japan as it's specific (second) name would suggest. It was introduced to Japan from it's true home in China, but botanists only found the native trees after they had found the Japanese specimens.
